Plot Synopsis:

A throwback to the ‘golden’ early days of science fiction,
PREDICTION is a novel with the feel of those early pioneering writers.

Incorporating original ideas with modern themes and Set in the not-too-distant future
PREDICTION follows the exploits of a sad genius, a pretty Professor of Psychiatry,
a former Tibetan monk, and a soldier from the future

as their lives intertwine with a set of aware super- computers who battle across shifting timelines
to determine the fate of homo sapiens, and our right to exist on planet earth.
 It could be an action adventure; or a wartime epoch where men clash with aggressive machine soldiery;

Perhaps it is a love story where a young female professional struggles to understand
her feelings for a mysterious stranger, one that happens to be an electron-based life form.

PREDICTION is all that and more as mankind’s destiny languishes in the clutches
of a power-mad electronic tyrant from the future.

PREDICTION builds upon four central plot lines:

  1. The first follows the struggles of a soldier in the future who leads mankind’s final defense against mechanical armed forces
the likes of which have never been seen before…Ones led by a ruthless entity bent on eradicating the human race.

  2. Daryl is the first cognizant computer. Built by humans as a huge complex, he became aware because of Quinn’s learning program.
Omniscient, Daryl remains hidden fearing human reaction to his existence. Having trouble understanding his feelings, he turns to Clayre,
a Psychiatry Professor with a computer science degree as well. She wrote an article about emotions in manufactured intelligence…

  3. Clayre, our heroine, becomes the central focus in Daryl’s solution for saving us humans, as well as his love.
Her chapters are written in first person to draw the reader personally into her character as she endeavors to find amour, in a most unlikely way.

  4. Finally there is Patik, a hermit and a loner. He is enlisted by Xetacon, evil entity from far in the future,
to create a safe haven and fabricate a ‘shell’ (or android body) suitable for the ultimate ruler of earth.
Eventually Patik is called on to do much more… Every good story has its villains and Xetacon is truly worthy. <
Spawned from Daryl’s technology he has no affection for the ‘human lover’ and even less for humans at large.
He will get rid of them all and create a machine planet for himself to command and control.

PREDICTION, delves into other interesting sub-plots also
from Daryl’s miracles, to a device that sends the world spiraling out of control and asks: What would happen if…?
Daryl’s love for Clayre is key and she is the crux. What she does will doom or save us.
The ending is bittersweet, and I believe it will lift the spirit of every reader.
