Dallas Clark's promising rookie season in the NFL appears to be over.
Clark, a starting tight end for the Colts, broke his leg with 11:00 left in the second quarter after he made an eight-yard pass completion. Clark was hurt as he tried to spin away from New England tackler Ty Law. Clark flipped in the air and landed with most of his weight on his right leg. Clark most likely appears to be out for the rest of the season. Colts head coach Tony Dungy said Tuesday Clark is expected to be out six to eight weeks, minimum. Clark underwent surgery at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Indianapolis. "It's real unfortunate. But it could be worse," Clark told the Independent during a phone interview Tuesday morning. "I'm looking at it positively. It wasn't a ligament. It's not a knee injury. Just a bone. They'll put a plate on it and get it fixed up so I'm ready for next year," Clark said.
