Khaye
Thick curls, clustering around her face like a violet-glossed aureole of obsidian, spill down her back in looping ringlets, tapering to an end a few fingerwidths above shoulders. A few strands dangle just before the slightly exotic slant of large, clear blue-gray optics, each eye shaded over first by a frame of long lashes, and then again by the ebon arch of eyebrow. Time has sharpened the features of an angular face, defining a more hawkish quality of her nose, cheekbones a bit sharper, chin a touch more acute, eyes slightly hooded. Sinew and discreet muscle limn her still-lanky 5'6" frame, trailing down her form to encompass slight curve of breast and hip, and following downward to the slim length of legs. Thin shoulders slope into slender arms and long-fingered hands, fingers callused from work; skin, as well as her face, is graced with a slight tan, while the rest of her bears a paler shade, clear-complected with not one freckle.
Oversize: it's still her style. A shirt a few sizes too large swathes her torso in a more or less dark orange, loose enough to accommodate Ista's warmth, with sleeves rolled up to elbows for the same purpose. A scrap of a purple ribbon winds and loops its way around her hair, tying into a neat little slipknot -- what else would one expect from an ex-herder? -- wrapping it in a careless runnertail. Pants are a form-fitting boot-cut black, the ends widening to the point of billowing around dusty black boots, laced up to mid-calf and finishing off an eyecatching attire of Istan color.
Shiny and carefully maintained -- a double cord, orange and black twining around each other, curls into a single loop around her shoulder. A lone ribbon, otherworldly cedar manifested in cloth, livens the colors of Ista Weyr, marking her as a Junior Weyrling with a brown lifemate.
