Know That You Are Loved
March 6, 1964
Tammy was adopted by my Aunt. Tammy is now 40 years old. She is married
and has a little girl and two little boys. They live in Iowa. I love Tammy very
much and she is always in my thoughts and in my heart. I hope someday she
will be willing to meet with her four sisters that she has not met.
When you were born and the nurse brought you to me for the first time, you
stole my heart. You were such a pretty baby. Wrinkles and all. I could sit and
hold you for hours. I counted each little finger and each little toe. I marveled
at all the dark hair you had. You were so tiny and cute. The day I gave you up,
broke my heart. It was like you had died and I lost a part of me. But you were
raised with love and warmth and you are still a part of the family. I thank God
for that. You never had to be an unwanted child. You were a loved child. I am
proud of the woman and mother you have become and the wife that you are.
Tammy, I will always love you no matter what.

Before you were conceived I wanted you. Before you were born I loved you.
Before you were here an hour. I would die for you. This is the miracle of love.
