"Time alone is good, I spend my days in the city, Dirty neighborhood, you know you’ll never convince me, So I sold the town away, I couldn’t wait to forget you, I was killed in half a day, I hadn’t time to regret you" Pete Yorn, Life on a Chain
My date went great! She's all that she seemed to be online and more. Four hours went by in a blink. I didn't get much of a vibe from her, but then I was sort of babbling like an idiot. Its a pity that I can never keep any kind of composure in front of the good ones.
That being said I can't have screwed up too badly: we're going out again on Thursday. I'm trying to keep perspective on this: expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. We'll just have to see.
I saw Farenheit 9/11 tonight. Go see it: it really does live up to the hype. Its his best work by far.
I... I'm still processing the whole thing. On one hand it made me feel good to hear someone put together a huge affirmation of all the liberal views I subscribe to, but on the other hand it left me feeling sick to my stomach with the question: how did we let this happen.

"Wait a minute Wait a minute" Joss Stone, Super Duper Love
Yeah... not so much with the blogging. Sorry.
The show as a whole went great and was a wonderful experience.
The Philly Lindy Exchange was a blast. (Mmm... Ann from Hershey)
I have an intern now. All bright-eyed and bushy tailed. They're so cute while they still live in the happy world of college.
Went country line dancing for the first time on Tuesday. It was fun! Saw a lot of impressive hats and belt buckles. I was too chicken to ride the mechanical bull though.
Had my first game in my rec volleyball league out on Alki point in West Seattle last night. The game was fun, but haning out with the teams afterwards was even better. Its nice to hang out with people who aren't dance/computer geeks for once. There's a girl (woman?) on my team who has a recording contract and is the CEO of two companys. Another woman is an ND (Natural Doctor). Crazy.
Got a first date tomorrow night. Sharp girl. Very cute. Probably going to be a disater. Wish me luck!

"She's perfect for you And there's got to be somebody for me" Counting Crows, Mr. Jones
Two down: two to go.
Tonight went MUCH better than Tuesday (which wasn't disaterous), and that's a load off of my mind since tonight was the night most of my friends made it out. (Thank you to everyone who came, you RULE!!!).
I'm not sure that I screwed up any less than I had prevously, but I had a lot of fun and I really hope that energy came through.
It was cool seeing everyone I knew with their dates/significant others/fiances/spouces. It does make me think though... I've really loved doing the show, but it'll be nice to have time to devote to the noble persuit of chasing women.
Anyway, I'm really glad I chose to do ECS this spring. It was perfect timing.

"Inside my heart is breaking My make-up may be flaking But my smile still stays on." Queen, The Show Must Go On
This is it. We open tomorrow night.
And its a good F***ing thing too. The long hours at work + the four hours practices + the hour+ commute each way is really starting to screw with my head.
For those of you in the Seattle area in the next few days you can still get tickets on our website. Those of you who can't make it... well you'll just have to take me dancing when next I roll into town.
Which will be in just over a week.
I know a that most of the people who might be reading this have done some type of performing art in the past, and so this show may sound like no big deal. However, I've never done anything like this so send me your best non-f***ing up on stage vibes.

"Moments with you, Thought they are few Keep me far from feeling stranded" Gran Torino, Moments With You
I stumbled accross a traveling photo exhibit on my way to practice today. I've never encounter a collection of things that could just lift you up and make you feel good like these pictures: The M.I.L.K. Photo Project
