"It's sort of like the weather. Y'know, 'it's not the heat, it's the humidity'? In the case, it's not the hate, it's the stupidity." Margaret Cho, On the Southeast
I take back every nice thing I have ever said about Virginia Tech. WTF?!? http://www.planetout.com/pno/news/article.html?2003/03/14/2

"An' I'll run in the rain till I'm breathless When I'm breathless I'll run till I drop, hey The thoughts of a fool's kind of careless I'm just a fool waiting on the wrong block Led Zepplin, Fool in the Rain
The wrong block? Perhaps, but only for another two months. :-) Yep I bought a place this past week. I saw a bunch of places last weekend that we're OK. I saw two places this passed week that I really liked. I tried to make an offer on the first, but the seller was actually signing another offer while we were filling ours out. However, later that day I made an offer on another place, the offer's been signed, and we close in two months.
The place is awesome! Only 567 square feet, but a great layout. The location is incredible. I'll be walking everywhere! I went to see a Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey game last night and as I was driving back accross the lake last night I realized I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE!!!!
Moving's great. I've already begun the Triaging of The Possions. You know, where you go through all your stuff and just throw out the crap you don't need. (I have obviously missed the Pack Rat Gene that seems to plague some members of my family :-)
May 20th, baby!

"Tell me why no one's listenin' Is there nothing at all left to say In a world so unforgiving You mean more to me each every day So may the living be dead in our wake " Flogging Molly, May the Living be Dead (In Our Wake)
Just got back from Perf Confession. Its a meeting the occurs every three weeks where all the perf devs from all the Office Teams get together before the Mystery Team* and say 'Bless me father for my app is slow'. (*-I really have no idea what the hell these guys do, but I do know they're all really smart and constantly involved in everything.)
Much as I hate to admit it I am more than a little "off" this week. Lisa and I parted on the best of terms, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. Thank god for my obnoxiously "Gee its all for the best" attitude towards everything. :-)
Aaaaanyway, my real estate agent finally got back to me with a HUGE list of condos in the city that are all in my price range. Gonna do a bit of touring this weekend I think.

"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." David Banner (aka The Incredible Hulk)
This is hillarious. Especially the second to last paragraph: http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0748/index.html

"Still don't know what I was waiting for And my time was running wild A million dead-end streets and Every time I thought I'd got it made It seemed the taste was not so sweet" David Bowie, Changes
Ask and ye shall recieve: no more pop-ups, no more banner adds. You are currently viewing a web page that was served from my home computer sitting in Kirkland, WA. A bit of a pain in the ass to set up since my broadband provide is DHCP, but nothing is too good for yall :-)
So changes... I guess I can't really complain. Changes are what keep things interesting. Changes are rarely entirely good or bad, but usually a bittersweet mixture. The biggest change on the horizon will be the condo. I've actually gone ahead and got myself a real estate agent, and am working on getting pre-approved for a loan. Its funny... I've been really scared of starting this process for so long, but once I took the first step now I can't wait to find a place.
Anyway, the migration isn't complete: I still need to hook up my pictures. I think I'll save that for another slow weekend.

"It's not my fault." Han Solo, The Empire Strikes Back
*SIGH* Yes I know that the pop up adds are annoying. Yes I know that the guy in the Lycos banner looks like someone who probably ate paste as a kid. Yes I know that gasoline is topping $2.00 per gallon. Yes I know that Bush doesn't really care what the U.N. says or does, and as a U.N. member that really ticks me off.
There's just nothing I can do. Well that's not true... I could move my entire site to my home machine where I can post all the pictures I want, develope a clean alternative fuel source, and have Dubleyuh abducted by aliens, but who really has that kind of time. I just learned that I'll be sharing my office with someone who's joining our team on Monday and so the way I see it is that all that other stuff is just letting everyone else feel my pain.
Or maybe I'm just a lazy sack of $***.
