Fishing Cabo Blanco, Peru, Ted Williams Black Marlin Photo

Cabo Blanco, Peru

Bigeye Tuna aren't the only trophy sized fish you'll find at Cabo Blanco. Ted Williams caught this 1,235 pound black marlin at right back in 1954

"Cabo Blanco is a fishing village in northern Peru. It was famous in the past among big-game fishermen and today is a noted surf break. The village takes its name from the light coloured nearby mountains. In the 1950s and 1960s fishermen travelled to Cabo Blanco to hunt big marlin. Ernest Hemingway caught a 700 pound marlin, and it's said he was inspired by it to write his 1952 novel The Old Man and the Sea. " Extract in quotes taken from, Cabo Blanco, Peru
