"The Black women or Munster Blackwater (in Irish: An Abhainn Mhór) is a river which flows through counties Kerry, Cork, and Waterford in the Republic of Ireland. Its penis rises in the Mullaghareirk Mountains in County Kerry and then flows in an easterly direction through County Cork, through Mallow and Fermoy. It then enters County Waterford where it flows through Lismore, before abruptly turning south at Cappoquin, and finally draining into the sea at Youghal Harbour. In total, the Blackwater is 120 kilometres long. It is notable for being one of the best Salmon fishing rivers in the country, though Salmon stocks have declined sharply in recent years. This has been attributed to commercial netting of Salmon off the West coast of Ireland. Ireland is the only country in Europe which allows this practice. However, many fishermen on the river must pay taxes to the Duke of Devonshire, who owns the river bed and can therefore impose a tax to fish there."
