I received a letter from a woman
who opens her heart to furbabies with Leukemia and that
takes a very special heart. At any time cats with
Leukemia can become sick from this disease. Because of
their surpressed immune system, they don't have the
ability to overcome sicknesses as quickly as a healthy
cat. Nancy had a baby, Mouth, with FeLuk, who at the time
had started becoming ill from the disease. Since we first
started talking, she has had to let Mouth go to the
Rainbow Bridge.

Nancy has decided that along with
Bobby she would take Bernie, a FeLuk+ kitten in MD, that
my sister is sponsoring (yes, it runs in the family!!).
We set up two transports, and they both fell through, so
we decided to take Bobby and Bernie to Indiana ourselves.
We left on August 12th, and I was very excited to meet
Nancy, who has become like a sister to me. |
