Tip 07: Perspective Front Shadow

Step 1:
- Create new document
- Type some text
- (optional)I put light Gray to near White gradient in background.
- Drag your type layer to new layer icon to make a copy of your
type layer.

Step 2:
- Press Control-T to bring up Free Transform funtion.
- Right click direct inside of Free Transform bounding box
- Choose Flip Vertical (don't press enter yet !)

Step 3:
- Drag your flipped layer downward until the bottoms of the letters
of both sets of text nearly touch. Now, press Enter
- Layer menu-->Rasterize-->Type (it's convert your flipped type layer
into an image)

Step 4:
- Press Control-T-->right click inside popup box-->choose Perspective
- Grab either the bottom left or right adjustment handle-->Drag
outward to create the perspective effect.
- Press Enter to complete effect.
- Filter menu-->Blur-->Gaussian Blur-->Add 1.5 pixels blur

Step 5:
- Click onto the Rectangular Marquee tool, drag a rectangular
selection around the end (closest to you) of your shadow, extending
about 1/3 of the way into your shadow.
- Select menu-->Feather-->choose 10 pixels of radius. Click OK

Step 6:
- Filter menu-->Blur-->Gaussian Blur-->enter 2 pixels.
- Press Control-D to deselect
- Use Rectangular Maquee tool draw another, deeper selection around
your shadow that about 2/3 of the way to the base of your type.
- Filter-->Blur-->Gaussian Blur--> apply 2 pixels. Click OK

Step 7:
- Use rectangular maquee tool draw the last selection around your
shadow, that is 3/4 of the way to the base of your type.
- Filter menu-->Blur-->Gaussian blur-->apply 2 pixels. Click OK
(What this does is make your type appear more blurry as its moves
away from the base of your type. [just like shadow in real life])
- Control-D to deselect.

Voila ! you're done ! :-)
