Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas from our home to yours

Dear Friends and Family,

The season is upon us once again. I honestly don’t know where the time goes, but it seems to go so quickly. If someone knows where 2009 went, please tell me!

In fact, I am writing this on December 20th. I didn’t get a Christmas newsletter done this year, I don’t have one thing wrapped and I don’t have our Christmas cards out yet. I’m trying not to allow myself to feel that I’ve flunked Christmas this year. I’ve been having a tough time with my back and legs for quite some time now and am trying to be a little kinder to myself.

However, I am happy to report that we still have so much to be grateful for! In this economy we both still have our jobs and Dawn, Harold, Casey, and Jennifer still have theirs. I for one, love my job. The people I work with have been so understanding and supportive. I am truly blessed to be there. Kendall, our children and grandchildren are healthy and the grandchildren are all growing by leaps and bounds, as you can see by the picture! Unfortunately the same can be said for Kendall and me!

After all the losses we experienced in 2008, we are also grateful to report that our Mother’s are still with us! My Mom is still residing in the Assisted Living place, so she has her own apartment and enjoys the company of her cat, Jack. We changed doctors and her new doctor wasn’t willing to just accept that she had dementia and watch her leave us, which is what her previous doctor did. So we have him to be grateful for, as she’s holding her own pretty well. Kendall’s Mom is still living in her own home and holding her own as well. She is as sharp as a pin, but sadly doesn’t get around very well. My Mom gets around fairly well, but can’t remember very well. Not fair at all!

It our prayer that your Christmas be filled with love, hope and faith, and that; "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." ( Philippians 4:7 )

Love, Ann and Kendall
