Vickie's Weight Lose Journey
Mood:  cheeky
Now Playing: This is a good day!
Topic: My Weight Loss Success
Hello, My name is Vickie, I had weight loss surgery on Sept 24, 2004 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tn. This site is to help me and anyone else that is thinking about weight loss surgery. I am 5'2" and my top weight was 227. I am now at 197lbs. I feel better than I have in years and would do it over in a heart beat. For those considering surgery, all I can say is that it is a personal choice that a person has to make. First of all study up on it all you can. I researched it for over a year. Know what you are doing to your body before you deside to do it. Also understand what you are doing to your body if you don't have it. I was a diabetic and did not eat right or exercise. I just didn't feel like it. Now that I have lost 30 pounds I feel like being more active. I can walk and not have back pain or leg pain. This surgery is a tool to help you lose weight, you have to stay on your diet and watch what you eat, drink your water and no sugar or fat. You also have to take your vitamins every day, and get your protein in. The strange thing is I don't feel like I have had surgery and I have to keep reminding myself that I can't eat the way I did. I have several friend that has had the WLS and they are doing good too. I hope that I can help anyone that is thinking about having this surgery.
