At 9 am we said aloha to Mable and began our hike. Below is a map of the first section, from the park to the place where we leave the road. This is the easy part just a lovely walk along a nice level road through a beautiful valley that is filled with lush vegitation. This took us about an hour and eighteen minutes. Time for this section depends on how many detours you make at the various Markers that dot the road.
