General Information

The Marlborough Public Library is a department of the City of Marlborough and is free for all to use. We encourage the public to make use of the library for research, projects, or just for fun. When applying for a library card, first time users are asked to bring a form of identification that includes their current address. We invite you to make use of the many services that the library has to offer.

To apply for a library card, a new patron must present ID with name and present address. Marlborough residency is not required.

A new card is free to MA residents. Out of state residents must leave a refundable $10.00 deposit. Replacement cards are $5.00.
New cards will be mailed within two weeks. In the interim, new patrons are limited to one item at a time.
Please do not lend your card to others. You are responsible for everything checked out on your card. If your card is lost or stolen please report it immediately!
