The DOHC ZC

The DOHC is the Japanese version of the Civic Si in Japan and Europe. The Si was known as the VTI. The Engine has a stock horsepower of 130hp@ 6,800 rpm. The Si computer has a rev. limiter at 6,800rpm and a different spark arrest. That is why the 1989 Integra Ecu is used. The Integra ECU has a rev. limit of 7,200 rpm and a better Air fuel ratio than the Si computer.

Many of the parts needed for the engine are from a 1988-1989 Integra and 1988-1991 Honda Civic. This is the hardest part about owning this engine in a civic. Most of the cylinder head parts are from a 1989 Integra, the head gasket, intake and exhaust gaskets, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. It is not hard to find information about the engine on the net, the only disputable information on the web is the head gasket is from the 1989 Integra, not the prelude (which is a 2.0 Liter) which seems obvious. Anyway, there is more information at the site ZC for Dummies.
