Ęsop's Fables

"A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing"
Years ago, there was once a wolf who passing by a discarded
sheepskin and had an idea how he could make his hunting quite a bit easier.
He picked up the discarded skin and draped it over himself, to disguise
himself as a sheep. That night he found a flock of sheep, grazing on a
hillside, and with his new disguise slipped easily into their numbers.
He thought this would make his hunting sheep much easier because he did not
have to wait until the shepherd fell asleep. He would simply be able to
pick the choicest of lambs from deep within the flock itself, and this is
exactly what he proceeded to do.
Meanwhile, the shepherd came to the realization that he had no
meat for his supper. So he went and picked up his ax and waded into his
flock. Once he reached the center of the flock he raised his ax to strike
down a sheep, but before bringing his ax down he noticed that the lamb was
too nice of one for him to take for himself. So he looked to the side of
the nice lamb and saw a sheep with a ragged coat and decided to take this
one as his supper. He quickly brought down his ax instantly killing the
wolf.

"More often than not the wicked fall into their own trap."
