Ęsop's Fables

"The Fox and the Lion"
Once, a fox was walking across
a broad plain and in the distance spied a lion. In fear the fox hid in the
tall grass, and waited until the lion had passed.
Sometime later while walking across the same
plain the fox once again saw the lion. This time however the fox swallowed
his fear and continued walking keeping his eye close on the lion.
When the fox saw the lion on the plain for the
third time he found that he was no longer fearful. Instead of hiding he
called to the lion in a friendly manner. "How are you today
friend."

"With familiarity comes contempt"
