1. Southgang
They were based in Rome, GA, and consisted of our boys, slug, jayce, and butch, as well as their lead singer jesse harte. Before becoming Southgang they called Themselves Byte The Bullet, which portrayed a more glam rockstar image. they moved to LA in the late 80's, trying to get into the fast rock scene. they were the first rock band to tour china (mad props guys!), and released two cds, "tainted angel" and "group therapy", and had two videos on MTV. they moved to LA in '89 to do that scene. i don't know why exactly they (for lack of a better phrase) "broke up".

2&3 Floyds/ Floyds Funk Revival
again, had butch, slug and jayce, and jayce's wife chrystina (although i don't think she was when the band got together....[see ilj's old school story for a cute anecdote about that!]) they shortened their name cuz they thought it'd be better for a record- they felt they were close to a deal at the time. they released a self titled album on Deep South records in 1997(same one that did MAOP). they pretty much took a break when chrystina had holden- cuz she wanted to be home with the baby [who i've heard is simply adorable, by the way]. then they segued into the marvelous three- something butch was kinda working on at the time. :)
