Magic Schoolbus: Electric Storm

Description Students will get an introduction to the concepts involved in electricity by reading and discussing "Magic Schoolbus: Electric Storm".
Goal Students will begin to grasp concepts about electricity.

Materials & Preparation
  • Copies of Magic Schoolbus: Electric Storm (1 per child)
Grouping Class discussion, individual participation
Procedures Introduction
  1. Ask students if they have ever been in a storm where there was lightening. Discuss feelings (fear, excitement, etc.) during that time & why.
  2. Tell students we are going to read a book about a trip into an electrical storm.
Sequence of Instruction
  1. Read the book as a class.
Closure
  1. Discuss the book. What did students learn? Would they like to go on a trip like that? Etc.
