Friends

A-G H-Z

Friendship means life to me. I personally could not survive without friends. It would be like the ‘Most Peculiar Man’ - Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel :
“He had no friends,
He seldom spoke,
And no one in turn ever spoke to him,
Because he wasn’t friendly,
And he didn’t care...
He turned on the gas,
And he went to sleep,
With the windows closed.
So he’d never wake up.
To his silent world,
And his tiny room...
And all the people said ‘what a shame that he’s dead. But, wasn’t he a most peculiar man?’”

Songs say it all. Like the 1987 Grammy nominee ‘That’s What Friends Are For’. “For good times, and bad times; that’s what friends are for. To live for, and die for; that’s what friends are for.”

Now Winnie-ther-Pooh and Piglet. They’re a classic example of friends. I would like to indulge in the belief that I am the reciprocal of Eeyore, who was once heard to say, “After all, one can’t complain. I have my friends. Somebody spoke to me only yesterday. And wasn’t it last week, or the week before that Rabbit bumped into me and said ‘Bother!’. The social round. Always something going on.”
