Anshuman 'apna bhi din ayega' Shankar

Anshuman, or Anti-human(according to my spell check in this mega-brain of a PC) has recently entered the merit list of those available to be read on here due to his acquisition of a TCP/IP internet account. And as more and more people are getting them, and holidays are on, I have less excuses to keep postoponing writing about them. So here goes something.

Anshuman Shankar

This document is an old one. I was goin to write one on Anshu, but I dug this out of my old computer and so here it is. Hence, please permit discrepancies owing to the time interval

Anshuman Shankar, urf ashanks12@hotmail.com. Surprisingly, though I meet him in school almost every single day, whenever there is school that is, I communicate with him a lot through E-mail. Anshu is one of those good-looking, intelligent, fun guys. You know the kind. He has very few downs. One of the few guys I've never, never, and I just realised this, got pissed with. Man, I know he sounds like a do-gooder, the kind of guy other guys would love to hate, but he's quite the opposite. He was the first guy I spoke to in school.

Part of the gang. That which Jayant Gupchup, Daniel Mathew, and more recently, after Anant Verma joined Naval Public School(he's in Delhi now), N.Vishwanath has also joined in. Unfortunately, for me, not for them, all those chaps are in XII A, and subsequently, I'm kind of cut off from the minute-to-minute occurrences of their lives. On the phone of course, I'm not at all actively active with Bevu, as Anshuman is affectionely termed. But we still occassionaly go for movies together. We went for 'Air Force One' pretty recently.

One of the main reasons I've refrained from putting this page on the net for a long time is because I've been pretty lazy and all this time I was trying to convince Bevu to send me a write-up on himself. But, he turned out to be lazier than me. Bevu lives on Nepean Sea Road. Quite a few students in school come from, all from approximately the same area, because there is a government residential complex there called Hyderabad Estate (if I'm not mistaken), and most of the students are offspring of civil servants or from the armed forces. But, we seem to be veering away from the theme of this page, which is Bevu, and not the school. I'm glad in a way, I'd been putting this one off for a while. You might see Bevu's resume at the end of this page, which I typed out for an application for a scholarship or something of the like, for going to Singapore. (Sorry, I lost the resume) I had a little trouble with that because when I do a spell check on Microsoft Word, I tend to press change a lot of the time because most of the time it's the American computer which ain't willing to understand British English. And the whiz of a computer, till I fed in his name, habitually changed 'Anshuman' to 'Antihuman'. Not too impressive on a resume, if I might say so myself.
