Taylor looked at Isaac instantly. Should they tell him? Tell him that he might actually be seeing it.
Isaac cleared his throat noisily. "Are you sure, Zac?" He questioned; he had to be sure.
Zac nodded swiftly. "Yes." He answered surely.
"You have to be sure, Zac." Isaac said tightly. "You're not trying to force yourself into seeing it, are you?"
Quickly he shook his head with roughness. "It's right there!" He said loudly frustration.
But when he turned around to point in the direction of the sun, he frowned and immediately became silent.
"What's wrong, Zac?" Taylor asked hurriedly, seeing the withdrawn look on his brother's face.
"It's not there." He whispered faintly, his eyes searching all that he could that was above his head.
Anger started to rise inside him. "It's not there!" He shouted furiously. "It was there, and now it's not!"
"Zac, calm down." Isaac said in a collected voice.
Zac turned to face him. "Calm down?" He rebuked, "Calm down?!"
   "Zac." Taylor warned.
But Zac didn't listen, he wouldn't. "I can't see!" He screamed angrily. "And then I thought I could!"
   "But I can't!"
Isaac stood and watched patiently as his brother had his fit. "The sun is behind clouds at the moment, Zac."
Still running on the adrenaline his anger fused. "What?" He asked breathing heavily.
Taylor gave a small laugh. "The sun," He explained. "Is behind clouds right now. That's why you couldn't see it."
At that, Zac smacked his forehead. "God, I feel like a moron." He confessed.
Isaac laughed openly at that. "You would think that you'd be used to it by now." He teased.
Zac grinned, "Not yet, gettin' there though." He admitted shaking his head.
Taylor slapped his hand on his shoulder. "This deserves a celebration." He said excitedly. "And I've just the thing."
"What is it?" Zac asked as they started their way towards the house.
"Brownies and ice cream." He said smiling.
Isaac chuckled, "Okay Zac, if this is the kind of treatment that you get," He started slyly. "The you're just gonna have to hurt yourself more often."
The words struck Zac hard, but he kept a smile plastered on his face. Ike didn't mean nothin' by it. He rationalized.
But then why'd he say it?

-

   "Hello, Zac."
Zac cringed, undoubtedly from her voice. "I don't want to be here." He muttered pathetically.
"That's not going to work this time, bud." Mrs. McPherson said smiling.
He shrugged and slouched down even lower in the seat. "Can't blame me for trying."
"No, I can't." She agreed nodding. "And you can't blame me for doing my job.
He shrugged again, not really caring about this woman, or her job.
"Your doctor wanted you to see me this time. Not your parents." She explained in monotone.
Zac felt his eyes droop, this lady was quickly losing his attention.
Mrs. McPherson grinned to herself as she watched Zac almost fall asleep. "Everyone wants to make sure that you will be able to cope when you get your site back.
Quickly, Zac jerked upright. "Huh, wha?" He asked confusedly.
She had to bite back the laugh that was sure to come if she didn't. "Your doctor and family are very optimistic that you will get your site back in the days to come."
   "Days?" He asked smiling happily.
"Not like days as in the next couple of days, days as in, as time goes by."
Zac frowned and slouched back down in his seat. They always lift you up and then slam you back down! He thought miserably.
"But it's more than likely that you will be getting your site back soon." She repeated.
He sighed, Yeah, yeah. He thought wearily. Sure, sure. Leaning back, he stretched and got himself as comfortably as he could, preparing himself for a long and boring day ahead of him.
