He Who Dies With The Most Toys... Still Dies.
JUDGING:
I dunno, maybe it's only me who thinks judging sucks. *shrugs* It is quite possible for that to be true. Though hopefully it's not.
But people care too damn much on physical appearances and assets. Everything/everyone has to be bigger, has to better, has to be more beautiful...
And if you're not or you don't got it, guess what? YOU LOSE!
BS! (Bull-Shit)
Having both parents work two jobs just to get them and their kids expensive clothes, jewelery, cars, beepers, cell-phones, the nice big houses...
Umm, question. What the hell for? Do you really have to talk to Becky that much? You just saw her in school! I doubt anything important could have happened in that short sequence of time. You're just going to grow out of those $45 pants. Those $90 shoes are gonna get raggedy after a few months. Those $50 beepers and $100 cell-phones you use so you don't miss out on parties which everyone is drunk at anyway.
But you point and laugh at those who don't have as much money as you. Who don't have the same expensive name-brand clothing as you. Why? They're not below you, and you're not above them... or anyone else for that matter. All that expensive shit you put on... means nothing. Only that mommy and daddy spoil you.
You laugh at those who are different than you. It's a defense mechanism. Most use it because they're scared... You can't handle different. It's too weird for you. They're not "normal."
Well, when did you get the power to decide who was better than who? That the kids with dyed hair and piercings are all just "trouble teens" that do drugs. Actually, not all of them are like that. Some preppies are though. You judge, and stereo-type. Then get pissed when they in retaliation they do call you "preppies" Because to you, you're not. Mommy and daddy just have good jobs...
We rely so much on what others (judge) think of what we do, how we dress, how we react. We don't even think for ourselves anymore. Everything is determined on someone else's thoughts... Why? So we can be accepted with open arms into their social standing's? So that we don't seem sooo different from them, when in actuality we are?
Judging gets you nowhere. The person you judge may be the brightest person you will ever meet. May even be one of the best of friends you could ever have had. But you wouldn't give them the chance.
Simply because you judged them to be different from you, and not in you "social class."
