My Page Created For... My Tainted Imagination

Loneliness is not always voluntary, there are those whose hands society has slapped away again and again until they're too bruised and too tired to bother to reach out just once more.

DEPRESSION/LONELINESS:

Okay, if you've ever been depressed you know the feeling. For those of you who haven't, well you are quite envied by those who have.
Being depressed doesn't necessarily make you a suicidal person. Please do not make that mistake in thinking that. True, some who have been depressed have committed and some succeeded in suicide. But not all have!
And what is so wrong if someone doesn't want a billion friends hanging all over them? I, for one, enjoy solitude. I enjoy the quiet time of morning when everyone is asleep and I have free reign over the house. I enjoy not having to answer phone calls from friends. But I also enjoy talking on-line with my net friends. Those who cannot show up unexpectantly on my doorstep.
Parents get mad at their children for being closed off and/or depressed. Why? We get insecure too, ya know? Saying it's not healthy, and that we're all going through the same exact phase.
In a way I agree, in a way I don't. I agree because we're all teens and we all go through certain things that are alike. But not the "same exact thing." That's impossible. No one's life mirrors our own.
And then when we reach rock bottom of our once seemingly endless depression, our parents are standing above us. Wondering why we didn't say something sooner. Why we didn't ask for help. Why we didn't reach out our hand.
Simply because there was none, and you already slapped our hands away, what feels a thousand times over.

Peace & Love
