Give me something to believe in.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS:
Okay, I may seem cynical or snobby or something bad when I say this but I do have my beliefs as well as you.
Why the hell do stores get ready to celebrate holidays months before the damn holiday? I'm quite curious as to how this came about.
When you are buying your Christmas tree before you have cooked your Thanksgiving meal, you are celebrating it too soon.
If you have easter decorations out with your Valentine's Hearts, you're celebrating the holiday too damn soon.
Another thing... why celebrate in something you may not believe in?
Some who do not believe in God or his son Jesus Christ celebrate Christmas. Now how did that happen? Do they not see the first five letters of this holiday? C-H-R-I-S-T. And you know, those candy canes everyone just loves? Well, it first came out to be a 'J' for Jesus, then some started using it for a tree decoration. Then when turned upside, it looked like a cane. Hence 'candy cane.'
So that is quite a religious holiday. Same as Halloween, All Souls Day... Valentine's is one too, for Saint Valentine. Easter... come on, it's not difficult people.
*shrugs* But as I said, I have my beliefs as well as everyone else. I'm just curious how it all came about in celebrating holidays, when some don't even believe in them.
