PRISSY POP PRINCESSES:
Alright, this is finally getting way beyond annoying now. I'm getting really tired of the pop-scene. I've been loyal to BSB since I was... like 14/15. That's a while since I'll be 19 in a few months from now. But all these damn whores that are coming out... *shakes head* it is quite disgusting.
Did anyone see the MTV VMA's this year??? If you did, sorry you went through that hell! If it was at all unavoidable, I would have seen that it didn't happen.
Don't get me wrong, there was some pretty cool things at the VMA's. Whitney Houston was there (dressed quite oddly)... Eminem performed, Blink 182 performed. That's about it. *nodding* Papa Roach performed... before it even started. Which I wish was actually IN the show! Talk about musical talent! These guys really rock, and they ACTUALLY have something to say! Ohmigosh! *shakes in horror*
But then there was Britney Spears, basically trying to bare all for the world to see. AND LITTLE KIDS WATCH THIS SHOW AND WANT TO BE HER! And yet she goes ahead and does it anyway! Christina Aguillerra, doesn't necessarily show as much as Britney did in her performance, but still, I swear they shop at WHORES 'R' US!
I believe everything should be done with a certain amount of responsibility. If the pop princesses don't want to be a role model for little girls, then do not wear little girls clothes, and do not ACT lile little girls. It really is quite that simple.
And I don't even know why they gave them the title of Pop Princesses! They've all had what... an album or two out? Do you know what it took for Michael Jackson to be recognized as the King of Pop? Or how long it took for Elvis Presley to become the King of Rock 'n' Roll? It wasn't done with one damn album!!
I'm tired of turning on my tv, my radio, or going online and hearing/or reading about these artists who have nothing to say anymore. Their songs are the same damn things over and over again. It's beyond pathetic. Yet teenies and kids are keeping them high up on the charts.
Children are being raised on pop culture and not even let out in the real world anymore. They get the nice shiny lives of stars who dress in flashy revealing clothes, oozing as much sex appeal possible.
The future of music and the world is appearantly doomed. Thank you all for your assistance.
