"How'd last night go?" I ask Sarah.  We are getting some ice cream.

"Uh...Fine," she answers.

"Well, what'd you do?" I question.

"We, um, went out to eat. Why?" Sarah replies, looking down at the ice cream container.

"I'm just wondering. Did you guys go to the beach like Brian said?"  I ask.

"Uh...Yeah. Why all the questions?" Sarah asks, going out into the living room and sitting down next to Brian.

"I dunno. I was curious. Sheesh. What else did y'all do?"  I ask getting curious.

"Nothing," Brian and Sarah reply quickly.

AJ laughs. " Doesn't sound like nothing to me. Come on, tell us what you did."

"We didn't do anything," Brian says.

AJ narrows his eyes at him. " Whatever, man."

"Hey, Sarah, come here," I say, giving my ice cream to AJ and motioning to Sarah's room.  She sets her ice cream down on the table in front of Nick and Brian and follows me.

"You guys did 'it' last night, didn't you?" I ask her.

"What? Um...I didn't say that."  Sarah says trying to seem calm.

I laugh a little. " You don't have to. I can tell."

"How?!"  Sarah asks quickly.

"By the way you're acting."  I say.  She frowns.

"So, you did, didn't you?"  I ask.

She smiles. " I'm not supposed to tell...but...yeah."

"What do you mean your not supposed to tell me?"  I ask.

"Well, Brian and I like to keep our private life a secret; that's all."  Sarah says.

"I see," I say, "I guess everyone knows about AJ and my private life.  It's hard to miss this stomach poking out."

"Girl, you're barely even showing."  Sarah says laughing.

"Well, I can notice it."  I say.

"Well, anyway.  Promise you won't tell anyone?  Even AJ?  And don't tell Brian I told you?"  Sarah asks.

"OK, yes.  I promise."  I say as we walk back into the living room.  I sit down on the couch next to AJ.  He's eating ice cream and watching TV.  He puts his hand on my stomach and asks, "How are my babies today?"
I smile.  He's so cute when he talks about the babies.

"They're just fine."  I say.

"OK, then how's my baby?"  AJ asks me.

"I'm just fine."  I say.  AJ smiles at me.

"Hey where's Lib at?  I haven't gotten to see much of her lately."  I ask.

"I think she's with Shena at Howie and Kevin's place."  Nick says.

"Oh OK.  Can we go over there later?"  I ask AJ.

"Sure thing babe."  AJ says as he puts a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.
 

Kevin and Shena are sitting on the couch together, kissing.

Howie walks in the room and says, "Good grief, do you guys ever stop?" Shena and Kevin both laugh and then go back to kissing. Howie walks outside and sees Libby sitting on the porch.

"Mind if I join you?"  Howie asks.

"Sure, it's your place not mine."  Libby says.

Howie sits down next to her and they start to chat.  They keep talking until they get on the subject of relationships.

"So, what happened to your last boyfriend?"  Howie asks.

"He was...in a word... a jerk."  Libby says.

"That doesn't sound too good."  Howie says.

"He treated me horribly.  It was weird though.  Cause I totally loved and trusted every word he said; even though I knew every word he said was a lie."  Libby says, as she thinks back.

"Love can be like that sometimes," Howie says, "but he'd have to be a fool to do that to YOU."  Libby and Howie sit there in silence for a minute.  Libby's not sure what to say.

"Well, what about you?  I mean, don't you have a girlfriend?"  Libby asks.

"No," Howie says shortly, "I'm looking at a few girls.  But none will go out with me I'm sure."

"Why not?  I mean, a girl would have to be crazy not to go for a guy like you."  Libby says.  Howie and Libby sit there looking at each other for a while.  Not sure what to say or how to explain the feelings they're feeling.  They move in close to each other.  They're lips come close to touching when all of a sudden...
