I arrive at the St. Louis
airport at about ten in the morning. I meet Tiffany, we go get my
luggage, and then we go straight to the hospital to see Mrs. Samantha Sisco(or
Sammy as she likes to be called). We go up to the 4th floor and to
room 469. Mrs. Sisco looks so happy to see Tiffany and I, she's almost
beaming.
"Oh girls, you came all
this way just to see me?" Sammy asks.
"Of course Mrs. Sisco."
Tiffany says.
"You know better than that
Tiffy, you call me Sammy." Sammy says.
"Sorry Sammy. So how's
it going?" Tiffany asks.
"Well, now that you girls
are here, I'm doing great." Sammy says looking at me. "Child, what's
wrong? You're not even here."
"Yes I am Sammy, I'm standing
right here." I say.
"No, you're not, your miles
away. Somewhere far away from here. What's wrong dear?"
Sammy asks.
I shake my head and say,
"Nothing, just jet lagged I guess. I always get like this after a
long trip, that's all."
Sammy says, "Hmm, maybe
you should go rest. You look kind of pale."
I walk over to her and say,
"No that's OK, I'm fine. I came to see you, remember? So, have
you heard any good gossip about any of our class?"
Sammy smiles and says, "Actually
I did hear some. I heard that one of my best students is now staring
in a movie and engaged to a famous singer."
Being my blonde self, I
ask, "Really? Who?"
Tiffany laughs and says,
"I think she means you Gilligan."
I laugh and say, "Oh yeah,
I guess your right. Well, the rumor is true, I am starring in a movie,
and I am engaged to a very good man."
Sammy asks, "That's good
child, that's good. I always knew you'd get the perfect man.
How about you Tiffy, how's your life in the love department?"
Tiffany sighs and says,
"Well, I've been too busy for love; I haven't had the time."
I cut her off and say, "But
when I go back to be with my fiancee and the guys, I'm taking you with
me. I'm sure that you'll hook up with one of them. They are
all sweeties, they'll love you."
"I don't know, I won't have
the time. Yeah you will, you'll make the time. Just think of
it, hanging out with the guys, going on tour, going to all of their concerts
for free. It'll be great!" I say in excitement.
"Sounds like you can't wait
to get back." Sammy says.
"In all honesty, I can't.
I already miss the guys so much, especially my AJ. I wonder what
they're doing right now." I say.
(At the studio)
The guys are just sitting around, looking kind of down in the dumps. Every once in a while, Sarah will cry a little bit. AJ and Howie aren't with the guys though, they are at Howie's apartment.
(Howie's Apartment)
AJ's too depressed to even
go out; all he can do is lay on the couch and cry. Howie says there
with him for moral support; giving AJ a hug every five minutes.
"I know it's hard man, but
don't think about her being gone. Think about how she'll be back
in your arms really soon." Howie says trying to comfort AJ.
"How can I not think about
her being gone, she's all I think about; and I can't even hold her in my
arms now. And even if she does come back soon, we'll be on tour;
you know how hard it will be for her to find us?" AJ says into a
pillow.
"Come on man, don't let
it get you down. You wouldn't want her to know how upset you were
about this would you? It would only hurt her more." Howie says.
"She won't know. When
we talk, I won't be like this." AJ cries into the pillow.
"I know as well as you do
that your lying. As soon as you here her voice you'll break, just
as, when she hears your voice she'll break. Just try to think about
getting to see her again; I think it will help." Howie says.
(Later that night)
I'm sitting in my hotel room,
which was so kindly paid for by Sammy's family, with Tiffany; when my cell
phone rings.
"Hello" I say in excitement.
"Hey love, how's it going?"
AJ asks.
