(Sarah and my apartment)

“I wonder what our plans for today are?  I mean, a free day to just lay around is likely around here.”  AJ says as I open the door and walk into the apartment.  I look around and the place is a mess, there are blankets all over, and the couch is still out in a bed.  There is popcorn on the floor and the cats are eating it.  I run over, pick up the cats, put them in my room, and shut the door.

“SARAH!!!”  I yell

“What?”  She asks as she walks down the hall from her room.

“Why...what...this place is a mess.”  I say “And aparentally you didn’t feed the cats, they were eating popcorn.”

Sarah looks around and says, “I was going to clean it all up before you got here, you just got here quicker than I thought you would.  And I did too feed the cats, that’s why the popcorn is on the floor.”

“You know I don’t want them eating people food, unless they’ve been good.  And popcorn could choke them.”  I say in a calmer voice.

“Sorry, but it’s not like you were home or anything.”  Sarah says in a mad voice.

“OK I’m not going to fight with you about this.  Let’s just clean it up and not worry about it.”  I say as I grab a blanket and take it down the hall.

“What did you guys do last night?”  Sarah asks AJ while picking up the pillows off of the bed.

AJ kind of stutters and says, “Wh...what...what do you mean what did we do?”

Sarah smiles kind of and says, “I mean what did you do.  Did you go see a movie, go out to eat, or what?”

AJ sighs and says, “Oh, well I took her to Olive Garden.”

“Let me guess, she ordered her favorite, Lasagna.”  Sarah says as she walks down the hall.  I walk back into the living-room and fold the bed back into the couch.

I ask, “What are you two talking about.”

Sarah walks in and says, “I just asked AJ what you two did last night.”

I ask, “Wh...what do you mean what did we do?”

“Like I said, what did you do?  Go out to eat, to the movies; AJ told me that you guys went to Olive Garden.”  Sarah says while sweeping up the popcorn.  “So did you guys have fun?  I mean, you did spend the night at the man’s apart...oh my gosh!  Were did you get that necklace?”

“Oh, well, AJ gave it to me last night.  It was our five month anniversary.”  I say holding my necklace.

“That’s so sweet, oh my gosh it’s so pretty.”  Sarah says

“What’s so pretty?”  Brian asks walking into the room

Sarah turns around, looks at Brian, and says, “Oh hey sweetie.  I’m talking about the necklace AJ gave Suzanne.”

Brian looks at the necklace and says, “Oh yeah, I already saw it.  It is really beautiful.”

Sarah and I look at him confused and ask, “You already saw it, what do you mean?”

"Oh, well AJ showed it to me a couple days ago.  He told me he was giving it to you on your date.”  Brian says

“What, you couldn’t even give me a hint that he was giving me something? I didn’t have anything for him!”  I ask

“Well, Suzy-Q, like he’s told me many times; you’re all that he needs to be happy.”  Sarah says

“I’d still have liked to given him something.”  I say as I turn towards AJ and hug him.

** Ring Ring Ring **

Sarah runs over to the phone, picks it up, and we hear “Hello.  Yeah, oh hey what’s up Howie?  Pretty good.  Yeah, Brian and AJ are here, what do you need?  Oh that sounds cool, let me ask everyone else.  Hey guys, you want to have a Bar-B-Que at Kevin’s place?”  We all look at each other and shake our heads yes.
Sarah goes back to the phone and says, “They all say yes.  What time?  OK, see you in a while.  Bye.”
