"Well yours isn't doing much better," he snapped.
Jocelyn made a face. "Can we just give up playing video games and leave?" she pleaded.
Zac, looking cautiously at the making-out couples that had surrounded him, got up. "Good idea."
They hurried up and walked out into the hall. "Thank GOD," Jocelyn sighed with relief. Zac nodded.
"I mean, I like kissing as much as the next guy, but that was a little much."
"That was...groping." Jocelyn shuddered.
"Yeah."
They continued to walk down the hall in silence and into the living room. There they sat down with Mackenzie and Avery and proceded in watching Dexter's Laboratory.
Jerry slipped a quarter into the slot, and quickly punched the familiar numbers. It rang just barely once when Isaac shouted, "JERRY?!"
"Waiting on someone, Ike?" Jerry asked, laughing suddenly.
"Thank God," he said. "Where are you?"
"My car broke down, the filthy bucket of junk. Can you come get me? I'm off the interstate, exit 2102 on Grammercy Drive."
"Not a problem. You two hold on tight. I'm coming."
"Thanks," Jerry said.
"Don't mention it. I'm on my way." There was a click, and Jerry was met with the dial tone.
She sighed thickly, and stroked Daniel's head that was buried beneath the blanket. Then she went inside the gas station, hoping Isaac would come soon.
