"Is he okay? It's pretty cold out there for a little guy like that," Isaac asked.
"He's good," Jerry said, pushing the blanket back a bit from his face. He was sleeping.
"Are you okay?" Isaac asked. Jerry smiled.
"Fine. Are you okay?" she joked.
He ran a shaky hand through his hair and began to back out. "Good grief, I thought you'd been killed in a car accident...or worse," he said, as he pulled out onto Grammercy.
"I can take care of myself," Jerry sniffed. "I wish you had a car seat. I'd feel much more comfortable if you did."
"Oh, yeah," he said, waving back behind him. "The middle seat right behind us pulls out into a car seat. You know, it was kind of a neccessity in our family."
"Great," she said, crawling into the backseat with Daniel held tight to her bosom.
She quickly got him settled, and then got back up front. "Thanks."
He looked at her, bumfuzzled. "For what?"
She smiled. "For being so nice to us."
He shrugged. "What're friends for, right?"
Jerry nodded and laughed. "Right."
