LIBYA(home) Updated May 25. 2003
Questions:
Libya has suffered many years of economic isolation, the last decade due to United Nations sanctions. Although the UN sanctions are suspended, and the country is only boycotted by the US, Western media still mostly report about Lockerbie, terrorism or Muammar Gadaffi. We don't get to know what really goes on in this vast desert country. How do people live? What are the cultural and social traits? How are the politics? How is the economy? What about human rights? The pages will not answere these questions, but give the reader tools to find out by herself.
