How can I get my art/fiction/significant other posted at
KoD?
For fiction and artwork, just obey the submission rules that
you'll find in the Archive section of the website, under Submissions. For other things, like clear gifs or wallpaper, just send it
to me attached, with your pen name,
email address and other information. For significant others...
It'll be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. The only thing I
won't accept is heterosexual, yuri (gomen; it's a yai site, after
all!), non-GW and actual spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends.
What are the rules to get my stuff posted here?
It has to fit three requirements: It must be GW based and at
least dubiously yaoi. Finally, the correct and original
author or creator must be given credit. I have a zero-tolerance
policy on plagarism, and each case will be dealt with
individually and swiftly.
What are the rules about using the clear gifs?
If they're mine (and so far, they all are), go ahead. All I ask
is a little link and some credit. It they're by anybody else, the
creator will be listed with an email addresss, email the person
and ask permission.
Can I post <INSERT ITEM HERE> on my own site?
Ask ask ask ask ask! That's all I can say. Click Here for the rules
concerning clear gifs specifically. Other than that, ask the
creator/author before posting anything, and remember to always
give full credit in the form of a pen name and email address.
Even ask for permission concerning my stuff.
What's
Yaoi?
What in the name if Shinigami-sama are you doing here? It's obvious that you didn't read the
warning on the opening page. Please, go back and read it.
For those of you who just want some clarification (or just want
to see me rant ^^;;), yaoi is an accronym for Yama nashi, Ochi nashi, Ima Nashi. Literally, no mountain/peak (climax), no point, no meaning. Basically it's the equivilent of PWP. (Plot? What Plot?) It's just hot, steamy sex. In slang, it's come to mean a male/male romantic relationship, usually
sexual in nature. In (Western) slang terminology, it refers specifically to
anime/manga male/malerelationships, usually non-cannon although not necessarily so. In Gundam Wing,
specifically, the creators said that the made no pairings
of a male/female nature, which, understandablly, thrills GW
Yaoi fans to death. Not that heterosexual fics aren't valid, they
just aren't cannon. Also, (as far as I know) yaoi pairings aren't
cannon either, so it's all even. The non-sexual equivilent of
yaoi is Shounen Ai, which directly translates into boy love. This
is a male/male romantic relationship that has yet to move below
the neck. I hope that clears things up.
What's
Hentai? (Rated: R)
In Japanese culture, there are three levels of pervertedness.
Ecchi, which is the basic level of panty shots, dirty jokes and
minor sickness on the level of America's Bevis and Butthead,
currently rated roughly PG or PG13, sometimes going as high as R.
Then there is Hentai, which takes a step up into full blown
pornography, and is currently rated NC17. This is anything from
getting hot and heavy in a car to penetration and honeymoon style
sex. BD, "normal" kinks and the use of toys is included
in this category. Most pornography falls into this area. The
final level... I can't remember the word. ^^;; But it's the
tentacle-rape style of porn, and goes into the more exotic areas
of SM, child-porno and beastiality. Anything of this nature used
to carry the XXX appelation, but I don't think it's seperated
from normal NC17 anymore. (Thank you, idiots in Hollywood!) If you want more information (and are
old enough to find it), look it up in the library or on the
internet.
I can't figure out what any of the Japanese words mean!

The pairings are usually listed with "+" or "x" between the listed shortenings. The person to the left of the symbol is the "seme" and the person to the right the "uke". The "+" indicates a non-sexual relationship (i.e., one that has yet to move beyond the dating stage). The "x" indicates a sexual relationship (i.e., lovers or people who are physically involved). In an equal relationship where there is no set "uke" or "seme" the person who was listed first is usually listed as a third person. (Example: 1x2x1/1+2+1) In some cases, a "/" is used to denote pairing, with the "seme-uke" order retained. However, the "/" seperator does not denote the type or intensity of the relationship.
