Storyline

  Our story begins in space. The One Year War is in its final weeks, and Zeon has destroyed most of the Federation bases. But the Federation strikes back, by mass producing Gundams (actually GMs, and EZ-8's). Shiro Amada, along with a crew of other recruits, are on their way down to Earth, to fight for the Feddies. They are stopped by the site of a Gundam, being savagly attacked by a new Zaku Prototype. Shiro rushes out in a dinky Ball suit, and manages to skillfully destroy the Zaku, but the Ball is also destroyed, sending him and the Zeon pilot out into the midsts of space.
  Shiro manages to find an old run down Feddy ship, which he climbs aboard for survival. There he meets the Zeon pilot, and after struggle and fighting, they meet, and make a truce to help each other escape. The Zeon pilot is known as Aina Sahalin. They manage to escape, but fall in love, and promise to see each other again.

  Shiro is promoted to commander of the 08th Team, for his valiant efforts, and the pilot who he saved from Aina, joins him, in debt. This grateful solder is Colonl Sanders, also known as the Reaper. They reach Earth, and meet with Kojima who sets everything straight. Shiro, Sanders, and Michel (another cadet, aboard the spaceship with Shiro), meet their team members, Eledore Masses, and Karen Joshua (who insist on calling him Commander Newbie).

  On 8th Teams first mission, in the jungles of Southeast Asia, Shiro gets lost from the group. For survival he seeks water, and finds a beautiful waterfall, where he also finds a beautiful girl, swimming. She sees him, and shouts at him and runs away. Shiro manages to return alive, to everyone's joy. Mission two, is more difficult, and the Zeons are using a small village as a shield. As the 8th Team is below firing at Zeon, Shiro heads a different way to attack the Zeons from behind. On his way, he is captured by the girl, who happens to be named Kiki, and is taken to a Guerilla village, laden with weaponry. Shiro strikes a clever deal with them, and they let him go, after which they succeed the mission, with the backup help of the Guerrillas.
  Their third mission is given, but Sanders is skeptical. Apparently, in all of his previous Teams, everyone of them died on their third mission, except him. He claims, it is his fault, and asks to resign. Karen beats the crap out of him, and shows him that he is a coward, and his resignation is revoked. But on their mission, all hell breaks loose. The Zakus are no problem, but then Zeon's glorious secret weapon, the Apsaras (pronounced Obsilus), shows up. It is a mobile armor, that has a mammoth beam cannon in the front, and it capable of high speeds. It is on a test flight, so it is the 8th Team that attacks it. So it attacks in response. Sanders goes crazy and rips it apart with a beam saber, damaging it greatly! The Apsaras, which happens to be piloted by Aina Sahalin returns to base.

  Gineas Sahalin, Aina's brother, the brilliant engineer who built the Apsaras, is outrages, and production orders for it are halted. He goes behind Zeon's back and continues production, claiming it is science that will win the war!

  The 8th Team goes on more missions, completing every one. At one point Eledore and Michel are captured, due to their reckless attitudes, but they escape. Unfortunatly, Eledore is injured and rushes to the hospital, and Michel takes his position temporarily. Then on one mission, they are in the desert, where the Guerrillas claim they saw Zeon testing, the Apsaras attacks again, and this time Shiro is able to grap on. Aina and Shiro, realizing it is each other, are now lost on a freezing mountain. They bond some more, and other events happen, and then they are both rescued. But now the Apsaras is completely destroyed, so Gineas starts a new one.

  Shiro is taken back, and questioned, by Alice Miller, who skillfully hyponotizes him. He confesses everything, about how he loves Aina, and how he thinks good people are on Zeon's side. He is placed under house arrest until a further decision is taken. But not all is well on the outside. Three lost Zeon troops come into the Guerrilla village, thinking it is a rural community. They are quartered there and fed, but eventually, one of the Zeon soldiers does a bad thing. Shiro rushed out, with his team, against orders, and he painfully destroys the enemies. He doesn't want to kill anymore, but he must.

  While this is going on, the Feddies destroy Zeon's Odessa base, and many troops evacuate, heading for Gineas's secret base, where they can reach space, to continue the fight. The 8th MS Team (Shiro and Eledore too) is sent on a "suicide" paradrop mission, to fight the Zeons. They land in Zeon territory, and are attacked many a time, but overcome all obstacles. The Apsaras III is almost completed and the troops are in the secret base. Gineas doesn't want them there but Aina goes behind his back, and takes them in, preparing for evacuation. She is like Shiro now, she doesn't want to fight. The Feddies move in on the secret base, and the 8th Team is assigned to secure three Guntanks. Norris, who is a top Zeon soldier, goes out, as a favor to Aina. He is an ace pilot, and easily manages to marauder all three Guntanks! He learns that Shiro is the one who loves Aina, they fight (Norris is like a father to Aina). Shiro insane with "love-rage" skillfully destroys Norris after much toil.

  It is there and then that Shiro refuses to fight any longer, and resigns from the service. It is also then that Aina gets extremely mad (she doesn't know it was Shiro that killed Norris, she just knows he is dead) and decides to fly the Apsaras III and fight again! With Gineas at her back, she warns the Feddies by sending out a huge warning blast and demands a cease fire, so the troops can evacuate. The Feddies reluctantly agree, and the ship takes to the air. But something happens, and the GM Sniper, positioned to fire, destroys the ship, killing all of the soldiers inside. Aina is enraged, and Gineas blasts away many Feddies. Shiro finally reaches Aina, but by then, Gineas has gone insane. When she demands he stop, Gineas shoots Aina, but Shiro saves her. Then together, they with Zeon and Feddie attacking them (Shiro is a traitor, so the Sniper is ordered to kill him), they take down the Apsaras III, and Gineas. Everyone thinks they are dead, but they escape together, love pouring through their bodies. Only a few days after that, the One Year War, finally ends...
