I've got one for you..This happened about ten years ago, when I was a
little kid. It was an autumn night and it had gotten dark pretty early.
I was at my best friends' house. From what I can recall, he was playing
with a rubix cube and I was just sitting on his couch. We weren't really
doing anything of significance, just existing at that moment.
Now, I must explain one thing. A week prior to this incident, the light
in his "playroom" burnt out. When his mother went to go replace it, I
think that she had run out of regular light bulbs and used one that gave
off an eerie light blue glow. I very much disliked her choice in
decorating, but I couldn't tell why...
So we were sitting there, not doing anything when something really
strange happened. Smoke started to pour into the doorway between the
playroom and the living room.Huh. That's weird. So I quickly went over
possible explanations. At first, I thought that someone had opened the
front door. I realized that this couldn't possibly be true because I
hadn't heard anyone enter the house and it wasn't winter yet. Both his
parents were in the basement at the time...So, when I had thought this
all through, my experience got weirder. The smoke was getting thicker
and was starting to pour into the living room. I couldn't believe what I
was seeing and kept telling myself that I was dreaming and this couldn't
possibly be happening to me. And then I saw it. A transparent figure
appeared in the doorway and it seemed like it could go no farther than
the front room. It was very tall and almost came to the top of the
doorway. I was so scared, and remained frozen where I was sitting. It
looked like it was wearing a long tattered hooded robe that covered up
the top half of its face. It extended its left arm and made a motion
with its finger for me to go to it. I somewhat collected my senses and
ran the other way. On the way home, I told my mother about it. Mom can
still remember me telling her my wild story, and believed at the time
that I was just making it up so I could stay up late.
It occurs to me now that I never would've been able to see this thing if
the light hadn't been that creepy blue colored light.
As an ending note...the lightbulb was normal again the next day, and the
family had undergone home renovations a few years later. Everything from
the original house remained intact...except the front room. They had it
demolished...
