Efforts made by our country to have peace and to combat terrorism

India has been a peace loving country. India'a nuclear policy supports peaceful use the nuclear energy. The wars were imposed on India. There were attacks by China and Pakistan in 1962 & 1965.

India is suffering from terrorist attacks since so many years. India's response was not in the form of war. Instead of war, way of talks was always preferred. Efforts were made to minimise loss and to have peace. Peace keeping measures were applied.

Action Taken :

Laws have been enacted to combat terrorism. There are special task forces to tackle the problem of terrorism. ATS i.e. Anti Terrorist Squad is established in our country.

Talks were held with foreign countries to solve the problem of terrorism.

Recently, the Prime Minister visited Saudi Arabia to have bilateral agreement on terrorism. He had meeting with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The two leaders renewed condemnation of the phenomena of terrorism, extremism and violence affirming that it is global and threatens all societies and is not linked to any race, color or belief. The international community must, therefore, resolutely combat terrorism. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in exchange of information relating to terrorist activities, money laundering, narcotics, arms and human trafficking, and develop joint strategies to combat these threats. They welcomed the signing of the Extradition Treaty and the Agreement for Transfer of Sentenced Persons.

भारताची भूमिका

शांतताप्रिय देश आहे. भारताला दहशतवादाचा त्रास अनेक वर्षांपासून झालेला आहे. भारताने प्रत्युत्तर युद्धाच्या मार्गाने नव्हे तर शांततेच्या मार्गाने दिलेले आहे. चर्चेच्या मार्गाने प्रश्न सोडवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला गेला आहे.

नुकतीच पंतप्रधानांनी सौदी अरेबिआला भेट दिली. या प्रसंगी अनेक द्विपक्षीय मुद्यांवर चर्चा झाली. यांत दहशतवाद निर्मूलनावर एकमत झाले आहे.
