It's all fun and games until someone gets cancer
Jen and I went to see the Family Stone today -- it looked like good, funny holiday fare. Plus, I love Sarah Jessica Parker and Jen has a thing for Diane Keaton. Good times, right? Yeah, but you know what they don't tell you about in the previews? The cancer. No one said anything about cancer! There was supposed to be high jinks! Family drama! Romantic comedy! There wasn't supposed to be any cancer. I made it through the entire Christmas week without crying (a feat, believe me), but then I saw this movie. Was it a good movie? Yeah. Did I laugh? Sure -- in between the bouts of weeping. I'm just warning you, people. Don't let this happen to you.
