What have I done to deserve this?
I got up early this morning to watch Jen run in the Tufts 10K for Women (another good friend was running it as well, but we won't name names). As we all know, I'm pretty cheap for sports, and Jen's a good runner. Plus, who doesn't love clapping on the Common on a beautiful fall day? It's good times, people. The point is, I did it because we're friends. And, because Jen is the world's best roommate, friend, and cook ever, I crawled out of my room this afternoon to find her making apple butter. Mind you, Jen's never even had apple butter in her life, but she was making it from scratch anyway, because I had seen a recipe and mentioned how much I love the stuff. I have to tell you, this is the best fucking apple butter I've ever had. And if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go eat a lot of it.
