Tribes 2-Construction Mod-|-|ERETIC

This is the section about Tribes 2 construction on my site, if you didnt know Tribes 2 is a game on the pc whcih also happens to be damn good. Its a purely online game apart from a few pointless training missions. Anyways the 2 best things about it is: You only fork out a tenner to buy it and no monthly fee and secondly the number of mods people make for it is astounding and you will never be bored. In fact this part of the site focuses on the mod bit, a particular mod called the construction mod which i must say is one of the most spectacular pieces of modding history i have ever seen.

About the mod:

The thing that makes this mod so special is that the actual tribes 2 game is so different, the construction team have turned a fast paced, explosive FPS into a laid back kind of 'sim city' game.(minus the mayoring and money problems) You can make practically anything you want, houses, spaceships, nightclubs ANYTHING! The mod takes a little getting used to and maybe a few control changes are not a bad idea.

Buying the game/Downloading the mod:

So you have read about it, learnt about the mod and the functions, now what? I would first recommend actually looking at an official review of the game by itself, i can assure you, you probably wont just be playing this mod so have a look around see if this is what your after.(although i recommend the game heavily) If you have decided to buy it dont go into the first shop and try to find it, have a look around you should be able to get it at the extremely reasonable price hovering around a tenner. I personally recommend a shop called Skill 2000 which is situated in Ealing Broadway if you live in london as i am fairly sure its not a chain store, however i have seen it in various GAME stores. Ok you bought the game, now of course you want the mod, first go to www.theconstruct.tk and download the package which isnt huge even for me (im on a 56k). Then follow the on screen instructions that are fairly simple and install without and difficulty. Now you will see some people playing the map Flatlad or Flatland Big by JackTL. Im not sure wether you get these maps with the mod, if not go to www.eekhut.org and its probably a good idea to download some EEK and IKE maps.
