She seems to bump into Trevor a lot after that and doesn't know wether she should like that or keep her distance, for the Garou seems to have a lot of interest in her.
Ruby travelled to Vancouver soon after they met, to escape her confusion and the busy life of New York City. A friendly vampire named Scar offered her shelter in The Loft. It only took a few minutes for Ruby to feel comfortable and suddenly Scar welcomes someone else in The Loft, no one other than Trevor. Ruby is surprised and even a bit annoyed, it seems like he is popping up everywhere. Trevor explains that he followed Ruby, for he is following the advice of Gaia, he doesn't know much, just that he should be near her and keep her safe from any harm.
Ruby tells him rather rudely that she isn't interested in him and asks him to leave... he leaves the Loft, but not Vancouver, keeping a hidden eye on her all the time.
After The Loft is destroyed, Ruby returns to New York and Trevor does as well.
As they walk over the streets talking they hear commotion in Central Park, people running out screaming and police shooting at a very large daemon. Ruby recognises the daemon form as Darkstar Fury, family of the vampire Scar in Vancouver. When Darkstar feels he should leave, he picks up Ruby and Trevor and takes a giant leap to land somewhere safe. They have to hide from the police though for she and Trevor have been seen with Darkstar and were obviously friendly to him.
Ruby offers both Trevor and Darkstar shelter at her apartment, she has one guestroom and one could sleep on the sofa. Both the men agree and go home with her. Darkstar soon drifts off to sleep, but Trevor sees that Ruby gets undressed and dressed again in her bedroom. Shamelessly he barges in, but this time Ruby doesn't seem to mind. Trevor is stunned for a moment, but leaves it the way it is...Ruby says she is hungry but has nothing in the fridge, she asks Trevor if they could get a bite to eat, if they are careful. "It seems more quiet by now, Darkstar never killed anyone out there. If we're careful, surely no one would notice us?" Trevor agrees with her and they go out for a bite to eat.
As they walk they both feel a certain tension between them. Ruby decides time for shyness is over and kisses him. Soon they decide to return to her apartment. Trevor never left for his own after that night.
They live quite happily after that, then Trevor tells Ruby he found out her grandfather was a Garou of the Fianna tribe. This would mean Ruby is kinfolk and that would explain why Trevor heard Gaia's whisper to keep an eye on her.
Ruby has a hard time dealing with this information and refuses to believe Trevor's words. Though she feels quite content with him, after a while she isn't able to get the man in the café out of her head, the one that looks like her dead fiancée. Ruby is convinced he was brought upon her path to make up for her wrongs. She feels this is a second chance. Trevor feels threatened by this and he and Ruby have their first big fight. Though Trevor feels bad quite quickly, Ruby seems cold and heartless. She stays with Trevor, but their relationship has had such a heavy blow, the first wound seems almost impossible to heal.
Trevor wants to make up with his lover and decides to surprise her with a home-cooked dinner. She comes back in a candlelit apartment and the lovely smell of italian food. Trevor is quite busy with making everything perfect for his lover. Just when they think nothing can go wrong anymore, Trevor's attitude suddenly changed and he heads for the bathroom and stays away for hours. Ruby gets quite annoyed again, that the romantic evening ended this way. She starts doing the dishes quite furiously while shouting over her shoulder at Trevor, assuming he is in the bathroom.
All the while, however, Trevor was in the Umbra, facing another Garou, a Black Spiral Dancer, who apparently was able to watch Ruby and Trevor and didn't have good intentions in mind.
When Trevor walks out of the bathroom, Ruby sees he is about to be attacked by another man. She screams for Trevor to watch out and a verbal fight begins. Ruby does not understand what this is all about and she demands from the stranger he should leave her apartment. The man flashed a grin to her and insults her, then makes clear to Trevor he will kill her if he doesn't join the Dancers.
Emotionless Trevor tells Ruby to go to the bedroom, Ruby is about to protest, but when she sees Trevor's dark, intense eyes she knows he means it. After she walked into the bedroom, Trevor locks it. A fight between the two Garou begins and Trevor soon discovers he cannot win from the Dancer, called Nightscream. Just when Ruby is about to find a way to return to the livingroom, Trevor crashes through the bedroom door, picks Ruby up and jumps through the window, taking a giant leap to land somewhere safe.
They both look up when they hear a loud noise in the distance, seeing Ruby's apartment being blown away.
Ruby has no other choice, but to move in with Trevor, for she has lost everything but the pyjama she is wearing and the crystal around her neck, given to her by her brother.
Ruby is so upset with all that happened that she treats Trevor badly. The coldness in her takes over and her obsession of Tristan's spitting image hasn't passed.
Trevor leaves for certain quests a lot and instead of understanding his feelings, Ruby feels abandoned and angry. The restlessness in her doesn't seem to fade. When Trevor leaves for a month, she first isolates herself, then when she gets hungry she leaves the apartment, above Trevor's dojo and goes for a bite to eat at Bernie's, where she meets Pale and later that evening Leah, together with Tristan's look-a-like, who goes by the name of Ashton Thorne...(SEE BACKGROUND STORY FOR MORE DETAILS)
When Ruby feels she is falling for Ashton, her warm feelings for Trevor seems to melt like snow in the sun. She realises she probably never even loved Trevor, at least not in the way she should have.
Trevor returns for a day and though Ruby is in Central Park with Leah, she feels his message send to her on the winds of love: "I am home..."
Ruby rushes to their apartment, but meets Trevor on the streets. Trevor opened his arms to embrace her, but gets slapped in the face instead. He blinked for a moment, but lets his sense of humour take over to hide the pain, "I missed you too, babe".
Ruby however is not amused and tells him she is angry he left without a note. He apologised and the two returned to their apartment, where a while later Andreus knocks on the door to give Ruby back the dojo papers she had left with a friend. Andreus has fed on that friend and a struggle begins when Ruby throws Andreus against a wall and threatens to kill him (SEE BACKGROUND STORY FOR MORE DETAILS).
Trevor tries to interfere now and then, but Ruby won't let him. He realises Ruby is living a different life and that she has drifted away from him.
After Andreus left wounded, Ruby sinks to the ground, but won't let Trevor comfort her.
Trevor asks if she wants him to go and Ruby tells him she wants him to stay. That is when Trevor informs her that he found out that her grandfather was never a Garou and that he made a mistake. That took away the last bit of hold he had on Ruby
She uses him one more night and Trevor knows that the next morning is the last goodbye.Instead of waiting for that he leaves Ruby a note, saying he had to leave for yet another quest.
Ruby begins with the darker side of her life and gets herself into trouble a lot, by asking Andreus about embracing and by sleeping around with other men a lot. A werecat named Kyriel reminds her of Trevor for some reason and a feeling of guilt overtakes her...
Meanwhile Trevor is going through a drastic change. The way Ruby treated him and his endless patience is beginning to claim its costs. Trevor turns to the darker side as well. That what he once proudly refused, he becomes: a minion of the Black Spiral Dancers. No one knows yet, not even the Wendigo tribe.
After Ruby has a hectic period, in which her brother comes back in her life, she discovers Ashton will never love her back and a one-night-stand with the blonde mystic Joseph Halfyard turns out it could be more than just a one-night-stand (SEE BACKGROUND STORY FOR MORE DETAILS), she returns to the old apartment to pack her stuff and leave Trevor for good.
She feels his presense and he enters the bedroom, watching her pack. Ruby can't help but feel relieved to see him in one piece, but also notices his dark energy. Trevor asks her if she had missed him and she answers with yes, but adds probably not in the way he wanted her to miss him. She sees the sudden evil dance in his eyes when he smirks and says he missed her too, especially when he had sex with another girl.
Ruby tries not to be hurt by his comment and tells him weakly she is happy that he moved on. He chuckles and leans into her, giving her a hard, forced kiss on the mouth and tells her he never felt that way with her and that raping that girl was so much fun.
With those words Trevor forces Ruby on the bed and she can't help but feel slightly scared. For a moment she thought she saw his features soften and he let her go, turning his back on her and telling her to get the hell packed and leave his apartment.
Ruby is filled with even more guilt now she sees she has also killed the good in Trevor and brought out the evil in him.
With pain in her heart she leaves the apartment she used to share with Trevor and returns to her new one where Joseph and her brother await her. Hoping for a new future.
After a time of peace, Ruby hears of a war between Garou and kindred in their city and she feels she should warn Trevor, just because she doesn't want him to get hurt. Remaining so naieve that she believes he still has good in him.
When she and Joseph have dinner at her favourite café Bernie's, she suddenly feels Trevor's presense, turning to see him sitting there indeed. Trevor grins to the two lovers and makes without words clear to Joseph that Ruby has nothing to worry about. Joseph however should watch his back. Ruby takes this opportunity to warn Trevor, but he doesn't seem to care much. While the two exlovers talk,Trevor makes mocking rude sexual gestures to Joseph, daring him almost to fight him. When Ruby feels this has no use she stands and is about to walk back to her table when Trevor shouts aloud in the café he will always remember the way Ruby f*cked.
At these words, Ruby turns furiously and hits Trevor in the face. Trevor just pretends the slap never happened and Joseph makes sure he and Ruby leave the café. Ruby is filled with different feelings; guilt, anger, pain, sadness and love. Though she doesn't have romantic feelings anymore for the dark Garou...she will always remember the way he was before he chose the path of darkness...
She doesn't encounter Trevor anymore for a long long time and even gets married to her beloved Joseph. Though she meets him once on the street when she is wounded, he simply refuses to help her.
Again some time passes, but the strange dreams that seem to bug Ruby take over and Trevor finds her and her brother on the streets one day. Hearing her babble some forgotten tongue. Before he knows it he gets sucked up in some sort of trance and soon it appears Trevor and Ruby have known in each other in a previous life...
Right now the question is...what did they have to do with each other?
