Much as they want to be, the Hives are not my 'new favourite band' (if you didn't know it's their album title). No, it's a close run thing between Electric Soft Parade (coming, coming, be patient), and this lot from Reading. Six-strong, and generally fantastic, their latest single reached number 20, which I thought was pretty impressive in amongst all the crap in the charts at the moment...
