Topic: Goddess of Wisdom
Athena was the patron goddess of Athens, which was named after her, she was also the goddess of wisdom, warfare, weaving and other things. She is part of the 3 Virgin Goddesses, which are her, Artemis, and I think Hestia. Well, her father was Zeus and had a lot of brothers and sisters, like Artemis and Apollo. Also, Athena's closest companion was Nike, the Goddess of Victory. She had a mother, but uhh...in the myths...he heh...she did not have a mom. Athena was Greece's favorite goddess, and when wars started, kingdoms of Greece hoped she'd go by their side, like the Trojan War, the Greeks hoped she'd go with 'em, but the Trojans hoped she'd go with them too. There are many stories about her, and legends say she was the one who put an olive tree in Athens, which helped the people, with wood, olive oil, and of course-olives! Athena was very bright and punished anyone who'd compare themselves to her. Athena's sacred animal was the owl, and Athena was usually a mysogynist, or woman hater. Athena's birth was weird, like her mother was eaten by Zeus?!
Well, yes, she was, because Zeus thought his kid would be stronger than him. So mom dies, until Zeus gets these headaches and begs Hephaestus to open his head. Pop! Athena pops out, all grown up. Zeus is glad 'cause she's a girl. So what? Girls are sometimes stronger than guys! Her name in Roman is Minerva. Doesn't that sound like a queen's name?
