Observations of Anton Nerezza (Clan Tremere):

The night was relatively uneventful compared to previous gatherings, but it was apparent that the complications resulting from the battle two weeks ago had not yet been put to rest. An unexpected visitor to the city was literally dragged in by the Prince, but after a little commotion, the Kindred was revealed to be a Ventrue acquaintace of Elder Piangozza. Even though his entrance into the city from Detroit was highly suspicious, the matter of questioning and certification was left to Clan Ventrue. Status was then granted and stripped by various parties; the reprimands directed to Dr. Wu and the Nosferatu were of particular interest. In addition, the Ventrue announced that they had used their considerable resources to obtain a supply of weapons for the response teams. Unfortunately, Mr. Johnson had also chosen to attend court, and he presented the Prince with a "Bone of Lies" without authorization from our Elder or Primogen. I learned later that the magical construct had suffered from Mr. Johnson's typical incompetence, causing it to indicate when the bearer was telling the truth and rendering it useless in a short period of time. This behavior is unlikely to go unpunished.

The Prince then attended a meeting with the designated response team leaders, though Elder Kreshenki was noticeably absent that night. Possible havens for the wounded were discussed, as well as orders to non-Nosferatu to avoid using the underground entrances or the restricted elevator. Later during the night, however, this elevator and the security cameras around it were apparently sabotaged. The situation was aggravated when the shaft inexplicably filled with raw sewage, lending an unpleasant atmosphere to Elysium for the remainder of the evening. Blame passed back and forth between the Keeper and the Nosferatu, but the dispute was apparently ended when the Prince returned carrying the severed arms of some unfortunate. He then clawed Primogen Lune severely, ordering him not to heal the injuries for two weeks, and had words with the Keeper. Prince Thorson has been increasingly ill at ease during the last few weeks, and these incidents have done nothing for his temper. However, the damage to the elevator was even more disturbing in that it is evidence of hostile intent toward us; whoever the perpetrators are, they know where we congregate and apparently regard us with enough contempt to play malicious pranks on us in defiance of our security measures. The only significant event during the closing of the evening was my acceptance into a response team that included Primogens Palmer, Adams, and Gates. It is truly an honor to work with such prestigious and powerful individuals.
