Observations of Timothy Tran (Clan Toreador, City Advisor):

From the Journal of Timothy Tran, June 15th, 2001:

Well, that was a comforting night. Everything back to normal, the masquerade breach seems the be successfully covered up. Over the last 2 weeks, I organized what influence was collected, told others what influence to spend (although I spent a significant amount myself), and talked with others about the Court that was held tonight.

I talked with Dr. Quentin Wu about how he was planning to become a negotiator of sorts between those who collect influence in mortal affairs. We decided since his reputation is now mud, I would be the one best suited to do this sort of thing. I'll be trying to establish myself as a neutral party for negotiations from now on... I'm afraid that cracks in this city's armour from infighting will be all those Sabbat across the river will need.

After that, I got everything organized for Court. Elder Tayback granting status, Primogen Luca stripping Quentin of status, Jason Gates granting some as well. Echoes of the chaos that erupted 2 weeks ago, after a dozen years of quiet. I wonder what's going on over in Detroit...

Other events in court included Dr. Wu apologizing to Primogen Adams, a Tremere neonate giving an enchanted bone to the Prince and some Acknowledgements. What should be pointed out is the bone... Introduced as an artifact that would darken when the person holding it tells a lie, I was charged to discuss with the Primogen who should hold it for the Council. Having no fear that I would use the bone's magic, I talked to Primogen Adams (as he is the most prominent member of Primogen Council) about it, while holding it...

And as I began to speak, the bone grew dark, fast. I was lucky Keeper Sweeney was there to stop me before I exhausted it's powers... Through some quick thinking he managed to figure out that the bone was something of what it was supposed to be, only it darkened when the person holding it spoke the truth. "I killed the Primogen and replaced them with robots...", was one of the test questions, so the evidence is pretty conclusive. Anyways, I'll probably confer with Prince Thorson again before handing it over to anyone.

The only other thing that I might want to record for historical reference is the incident with the Nosferatu's elevator. It seems someone had managed to sneak in enough sewage to fill up the elevator's shaft. Primogen Lune was indeed very angry about this and I contacted the Prince who happened to be nearby, discussing matters with the formation of the Response Teams. After some discussion in the Room of Silence, Keeper Sweeney, Primogen Lune, and Prince Thorson convened inside the heart of Elysium for a few words, as it were. Prince Thorson ripped into Primogen Lune, commanding him not to heal it for 2 weeks, and had some words with the Keeper. Oh, did I mention that the Prince had 2 unattached human arms with him?

Business as usual, I suppose, things seem be fine for now. Now I can get back to all that work I left in the office since the breach, argh...
