Observations of Timothy Tran (Clan Toreador):
Historical Log, May 18th, 2001:
The night was a wholly great one for me! It started off with being summoned with Dr. Quentin Wu to the Prince's side himself. We had a discussion, and Prince Thorson decided, between the 2 candidates, that I'd be the best Kindred for City Advisor! I gladly made my way back to Elysium, wondering what the position will be like, as I was not expecting to achieve the position.
I discussed with Ol' Eddy about the incident concerning the body that was found in the tunnels... Just some guy I expect. Poor fool, lost all his money, got piss drunk, wandered along the train tracks and got turned into a mass of jelly. More I cannot ascertain, except I found out later that night, that the mysterious Nosferatu that was the last person to discover the body, goes by the name of Tunnel Rat. I wonder who this is, but it's in Nicholas Lune, the Nosferatu Primogen's hands.
Tremere Elder Victor Tayback approached me for a favor earlier this week as well, how could I refuse? Everyone in the city that is acknowledged I offer my services to, especially the Elders. He told me it would be splendid if I planted a story in the Windsor newspaper concerning a celebration. That the story was to explain how that Friday, or today, was actually the 1000th anniversary of the Viking's landing. After he assured me the Prince would be happy with it, I did as he asked. Of course, the Prince Thorson assured me that the date was at least 100 years off... Ah well, history is so hard to get right...
I fulfilled my boon to the new Deputy, Johann, by agreeing to teach him Auspex. He, Sherriff Morrison and the Gangrel Primogen all got awarded new status during the Prince's court. I officially became City Advisor, and I proudly accepted. A number of new Kindred were then acknowledged, with little commotion. Then attention was brought to the fact that there was a party, being thrown together by the Ventrue, was being held on an island in the Prince's honor!
Most of the city attended, dressed in appropriate Viking garb and with silly plastic axes. Apparently, the Lead Harpy, Isabella, rounded up some homeless and gave them a free meal to act as Vikings for a bit. Unfortunately, Nicholas Lune had a problem with this, he was very angry, but I believe I helped resolve the situation, I think. As far as I know, no mortals were hurt, which I'm glad about. Around this time I agreed to teach Assistant Harpy Pietr Auspex as well, I asked for nothing really in return, as I'm not really in need of anything, and asking others for help is usually unneeded. I accompanied the Prince, merely for bureaucracy's sake I suppose, and he seemed to enjoy the Party in his honor. He left on his own business and things started up in Elysium again.
I then began a rousing chess game with Dr. Wu, where we discussed our abilities to help the city, unfortunately, I got called away and we never got to finish our game... 4 Pawns, 1 Rook, 1 King for each side at the end. I had an extra knight, and he had an extra rook, interesting to see what would have happened. Anyways, I dealt with Primogen Lune's anger, then with further investigation into Conrad St. John's belongings. It seems he had hidden away a couple of nice pieces of art, oh, were they ever lovely. Unfortunately, this did not lead to any clues concerning the remaining 2 ghouls that belong to St. John, that need to be found. 2 of his original 4 are dead, as well as Edith's 1 ghoul.
At some point during the night, Dr. Netchurch, the Malkavian Elder asked me to do some research for him, which I was glad to do. And I was elated to trade the research in exchange for his knowledge of Camarilla Lore! I suppose it's good that I have it now that I am the City Advisor.
I suppose that was all the events of the night, I hope there are more accounts of it written somewhere, as it seems so narrow a view. I hope this will be valuable in the future!
