THE MOON OF PARADRON

A veteran scout named Sky-lynx found a moon suitable for their needs. He was heartbroken that he could not find his dear friend Wheeljack, who was missing on the Ark.

Xaaron, then sent a veteran lieutenant named Ultra Magnus to colonize the moon. Due to a Decepticon sneak attack upon departure, the star cruiser Sabre could not reach the moon completely under its own power. Sky-lynx had to struggle to tow it there. For all intents and purposes they were stranded. Skyfire went for help, but they never heard from him again.

Ultra Magnus set his mind on his mission. The Autobots began to salvage the ship, and use the raw materials at hand to construct their new Autobase. They removed the computer from the ship and implanted it into the city that they constructed. They designed a grand fortress and named it Metroplex.

Since they could not return to the fighting, they created a utopian society that lasted for many stellar cycles, until the night that the sky fell.

Out of the twilight sky, a lone Decepticon attack cruiser plunged toward the surface. On its way down, a squadron of fighters surged forth like locusts, laying waste to everything in sight.

The Autobots, caught complacent, were not prepared for such a ferocious assault. They were quickly overtaken by their outnumbered foes.

The rogue Decepticons now calling themselves Predators had grown weary of Overlords way of doing things in Megatrons absence. Their leader Skyquake had vowed to conquer the galaxy while Overlord was only concerned with Cybertron. Paradron became their latest target.

Those who were not killed initially, soon wished that they had been. What had set these Decepticons apart, from those on Cybertron, soon became quite clear. The Predators lived up to their name. They are the most viscious Decepticons ever seen. All who were caught were tortured by Beastbox, then all were killed by Energon depravation.

The Autobots only hope was lying in a cave dying. About thirty Autobots managed to escape the onslaught, and regrouped in a cave about ten kliks away from the city. Magnus was one of them, but he was badly injured.

While Arcee monitored him, the remaining Autobots went on hit and run raids from time to time gathering Energon and weapons. Everything was getting better, until a surprising transmission was recieved.

It was an Autobot distress call from an insignificant planet called Earth. The signal stated that the lost heroes of the past were no longer missing and that the Autobots that were there had lost a vital battle and needed assistance immediately.

The message gave the Autobots renewed hope that all was not lost. They increased their efforts to retake their world.

Skyquake interpreted it a completly different way. He saw an opportunity to increase his standing in the greater Decepticon hierarchy. If he defeated The Prime, then all Decepticons must acknowledge his prowess. Many of his troops felt differently, though. One in particular, Sky-fall felt that Skyquake was over zealous. He felt that they should rule but the Autobots were a hinderance, and should be disregarded not chased down.

One night Magnus' second in command Sandstorm attacked the Predators main base. He was quite sucessful, so he thought. It just happened to be as the Predators were preparing to abandon Paradron. He and his squad stowed away on the Predators ship, the Annihilus. They tried to destroy the reactor core but were caught by Pounce and Wingspan. They were to be brought to Stalker to be destroyed, but Sky-fall had a problem with that. He disabled his partner Take-off and helped the Autobots escape. They stole an escape pod and returned to Paradron.

Sandstorm and his squad returned to a shaky welcome. Everyone thought that he was sucessful, having a prisoner and all, but after all was explained, things became worse. Springer, Hot Rod, Over-ride, and Cloudraker wanted to seek revenge on Sky-fall for all of the Autobots that lost their sparks for nothing, but it took Ultra Magnus' wisdom to show that that was not their way.

Sky-fall was detained in the remains of Metroplex, for a few cycles, until Magnus felt that he could be trusted. Sky-fall abandoned all allegiance to the Predators. He assisted the Autobots in rebuilding their home as best that he could. He shared new advanced technologies that had been missed by the stranded Autobots.

Ultra Magnus was rebuilt into a superior form than his previous one. His new mode was upgraded from a supply transport to a super starfighter. His new body required a new title. He now called himself Star Saber.

The Autobots made preparations to leave as well. Sky-fall told Star Saber that he could acquire a starcruiser to transport the Autobots at a nearby spaceport called The Hub. Star Saber and Sky-fall left for The Hub immediately.

AND THE STORY CONTINUES....

While Star Saber, the Motorvators, and Skyfall were gone, Sandstorm repaired Metroplex as best he could. All was going well, he was preparing to defend Metroplex, just in case the Predators or any other Decepticons decide to visit.

One night an unfamiliar spacecraft appeared in the sky. The Autobots were prepared to defend themselves this time. A few small craft decended on Metroplex, but did not open fire. Then they transformed.

Find out who they are.....
