DR. WHO
Timelords in love
Escape by Viridian 5 -- When I was in my early teens I had a huge crush on Turlough, not to mention a few impure thoughts about the 5th Doctor, and this story captures both my own youthful fantasy and the characters themselves. As the author writes in the disclaimer, "it's their own fault for introducing a character who wore a tight boys school uniform most of the time". Equally worth reading are About-face, another look inside Turlough's head, and Full Circle, an enjoyably smutty 4th Doctor/Turlough encounter which gets points for repartee and creative use of the Doctor's scarf....
I can't pick a favorite story by Anne Ellis, so I'm just going to recommend them all. If you're interested in more Turlough, check out "The Bosom Serpent" and the Tegan/Turlough story "Best of Enemies"; if you want great Doctor slash, read "A Handful of Dust" or the dark "Bitter Aloes", and the Doctor isn't in it but of course my personal favorite concept is the slashy "Calling the Goddess".
Then there's A.C. Chapin--again there really is just no bad here, but the standouts were the Tegan/Turlough drabble It's Got Three Sides ('cause A.C. Chapin has written some of the best drabbles ever) and Triangle, a long 5th Doctor/Ace story--or really, a Seventh Doctor/Ace, Fifth Doctor/Ace story, and, you know, I love it when this fandom takes advantage of the possibilities of time travel in all the best ways....
