Stoichiometric equations

Stoichiometric equations describe the inputs and outputs of chemical (and biochemical) processes, and are typically balance on the basis of moles of different chemical molecules. These can be converted to a mass basis using the atomic weights of the atomic species in each molecule. Stoichiometric equations are good to know....they relate to life because if your chemistry teacher asks you what stoichiometric equations are and says that if you don't know, you fail the class....that relates to life doesn't it?
