Words of Wisdom (And Again)
These, I'm afraid to say, are of the happy, soppy, gushy kind that give warm fuzzies, some, are just amusing. Yay for the go-and-get ones! (and the Deal With It Ones Too), I have a book, a little one. Filled with my favourite quotes. Now, the binding is coming off and its been stuffed with extra bits of paper, and the first couple of pages are unreadable, and a few to the back are stained with milo, but, it still holds more of my mind, then anything else. Enjoy.

302) "They told me that the world goes two by two,/ That loving one good man makes life complete;/ But I am very happy without you./ I loved you once, I still think that is true;/ That day we kissed amid the summer heat,/ You told me that the world goes two by two./ Your eyes surpassed the sea, they were so blue,/ But when you left, I realized your deceit; And I am very happy without you./ When I was in your arms, I listened through/ Your chest to find your heart's redundant beat;/ I told myself the world goes two by two./ Believing that, my loving vould renew./ I'd shut my eyes to block out your conceit;/ And I am very happy without you./ Alone, each morning starts my life anew--/ My eyes are clear, I've suffered no defeat./ They told me that the world goes two by two,/ But I am very happy without you."-Clara Thaler

313) "I thought of Gatsby's wonder when he first picked out the green light at the end of Daisy's dock. He had come a long way to this blue lawn and his dream must have seemed so close that he could barely fail to grasp it. He did not know that it was already behind him, somewhere back in that vast obscurity beyond the city, where the dark fields of the republic rolled on under the night. Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter--tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther...And one fine morning--So we beat on, boats against the current, born back ceaselessly into the past."-F. Beth wasn't exactly the supermodel type: She had braces and a prominent nose, a flat chest and big thighs. It took me an entire summer of watching Beth closely to figure out why all the guys liked her so much: She had incredible self-confidence. She didn't seem the least bit insecure about her decidedly average looks. In fact, she seemed proud. Every once in a while the fundamental laws of the universe seem to be momentarily suspended, and not only does everything go right, nothing seems to be able to keep it from going right. Ever come out after work to find your lights have been on all day and your battery's dead but you're parked on a hill and you let your old hoopy roll and it fires the first time you pop the clutch and off you roar with a high heart? Ever pull out that drawer in your desk that has a ten-year accumulation of junk in it--pull it too far and too fast--and just as it's about to vomit its contents all over the room you get a knee under it and stagger back hopping on one foot doing a balancing act like the Great Zucchini and you don't lose it? A near-miss at an intersection; the glass of knocked-over milk that waltzes across the table but doesn't spill; the deposit that beat your rubber check to the bank because there was a holiday you forgot about; the lump in your breast that turned out to be benign; the heart attack that turned out to be gas; picking the right lane for once in a traffic jam; opening the door of your car with a coat hanger through the wing window on the first try.
