I must have missed something somewhere one day... I go around the 'net and I see things that people have gotten too lazy to type out something as short as "people", I don't think that is too hard, or is it?
Well, it maybe too hard for the 10 or so people that think their Operating System is America Online to spell that out, but the rest should not have an excuse.
These same people that say that their Operating System is AOL are the same people that will have about 5 different file sharing programs on their computer, two virus scanners (you can never be over protected), and a few of those programs that are supposed to make you download stuff faster (the more the better right? vrrrmmm, mamma fast now!)
What makes me think this (well, I know so); I took a trip to Download.com today, and noticed that again Morpheus has more than a million downloads in about a 7 day period. That's about 3 or so month’s straight. So how many people can possibly be using that thing? You know some people have got to have more then one of those damn things on their computer.
Go ahead, next time you see someone and you know they don't know a lot about computers (pardon the pun to any offended), ask them "So, what file sharing software do you use?" and they may just reply with something like "Well, uh, I got... LimeWire, Morpheus, Sonique, KaZaa, and Napster" (You can never let that bad boy die, even when you pay for it where you can get it for free some place else)
Again, jumping to conclusions, that same group (I know, I'm hitting them hard tonight) of people will be the ones that will email me or IM me and ask something like "Where can I get...” I mean... what do they want me to do? (Obviously they want me to do it for them) They want me to go to Yahoo! and search for it there, click on a link to the page, and then tell them the URL of that page... no no no... they have it all wrong. I think it should be something like "Let's not and say we did" But of course, being the nice guy that I am, I will kindly reply to them and say something along the lines of "go to www.yahoo.com and search for what you need"
And finally, that very same group of people will argue about the fact that there is a floppy drive in their computer, when the disks that go in it are not really floppy. I tell ya, I've seen it a million times, just kindly tell them to slowly back away from the computer and don't worry about it - there is no hope for those people. Actually, when you think about it though, they are really not "floppy", so why is there a "Floppy drive"?
I think this just about concludes the l33t AOL user bashing for now...
